with the advent of blogs increasing at an exponential rate, it is no surprise that there are so many of them that I try to visit as often as I can. ranging from fashion to food, here are a few of my favourites. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

 Toronto-based and Ryerson journalism student Sarah Nichole Prickett, her blog is a fantastic mix of her own writing (for various Toronto/Canadian publications), her favourite things, fashion, travel, and snippets about her own life. Her writing is compelling and her images are gorgeous. Big ups for my hometown!

Hailing from the suburbs of Austin, Texas, Sea of Shoes has exploded on the blogosphere as 18-year-old Jane Aldridge documents her gorgeous wardrobe and love of all things shoes. Her pictures are high-quality in gorgeous, even if you aren't a fashion addict you will appreciate the striking poses and gorgeous colours.

Writing from Brooklyn, blogger "Caroline" is a textile designer who keeps her blog fashion-focused but also incorporates a range of other elements such as food, shopping, and current events. My favourite aspect of this blog is that she includes a water colour image with each blog post, thus expressing herself both visually and textually. She is a talented artist and her art can be appreciated by both passive and passionate art-lovers.

Another Toronto blogger, Closet Kitchen blogger Kevin has thousands of recipes that will inspire the closet kitchen owner in all of us (a.k.a. basically any university student) to mix it up and get creative in the kitchen. The worst part about the blog is the difficulty one may encounter in choosing only one recipe! I literally have to browse the blog for hours before choosing just one thing to make for dinner. I've already tried out a few and have yet to be met with a kitchen failure. I highly recommend this blog if you especially have an interest in Asian-inspired dishes. Thai spicy peanut chicken enchiladas? Yes please!

If my love of cupcakes under the Edible Delights tab wasn't indication enough, allow me to declare my love for all things small and baked here - I LOVE cupcakes! While perusing the aforementioned It Looks Good to Me blog, I unearthed this blog called Mink Makes Cupcakes that contains scads of gourmet-looking cupcakes (hello, Gingerbread Cupcakes with Fluffy Cream Cheese Filling!) with the recipes listed right next to them. Turns out, they're not so easy to try after all! I would recommend this website to anyone wanting to create a special-looking baked surprise for a birthday or holiday. They are the perfect gift - only Scrooges can say no to little bundles of joy like these.
